Privacy Policy

SoKo Water Systems (“SoKo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides water-tank monitoring hardware and a companion dashboard that lets customers view their tank levels and receive alerts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Your mobile information is never shared for marketing. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. No mobile information is shared with third parties for their marketing under any circumstances. Sharing with service providers/subcontractors that help us operate the service (for example, our SMS delivery provider) is permitted solely to provide the service to you.

Information we collect

Account information — the email address you sign in with, and your display name if provided.
Mobile phone number — only if you choose to enable text (SMS) alerts, so we can send the alerts you request and verify the number is yours.
Device and tank data — readings and configuration from the SoKo hardware on your account (tank levels, calibration, and the alert thresholds you set).
Usage and technical data — basic log/diagnostic data needed to operate the service securely.

How we use information

To operate the dashboard and show you your tank data.
To send the alerts you opt into — email, push notifications, and, if enabled, SMS text alerts.
To verify ownership of a phone number before enabling SMS alerts.
To secure, maintain, and improve the service, and to respond to support requests.

Text (SMS) alerts

If you opt in to SMS alerts, we use your mobile number solely to send the water-tank alerts you configure (for example, when a tank drops below a level you set, or becomes full). Message frequency varies and depends on your tank activity and the alerts you enable. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not affect your email or push notifications.

We use a messaging provider (Twilio) strictly to deliver the messages you request on our behalf; that provider is not permitted to use your number for its own marketing. As stated above, your mobile number and SMS opt-in are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the service (such as cloud hosting and message delivery), and only as needed to provide it to you. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Turn SMS alerts on or off anytime in your SoKo dashboard, or reply STOP to any alert text.
Manage email and push notifications from the dashboard alerts page.
Contact us to access, correct, or delete your account information.

Children’s privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective” date above when we do.
